Supposedly Riot and KWSM tell their members to shut up when they start talking about politics and such in /gu or comms. Can't confirm or deny this, but that is what the members I group with tell me.

It’s just smart guild policy. There is almost zero chance any non-tiny guild has a homogenous political party and even if so, people play fantasy games to escape RL shit like politics.
