Completely broken. But hey, who cares. Exactly, nobody. Petition seemed to go into a blackhole or it was more important to announce a PvP event yesterday several times. So i htoujgh, GIVE A FUCK, restart. And now i am camping Tykar Renlin all together for more than 20 hours with no spawn. Searching for Soulfire and Tyklar Renlin i found many toons having problems with this shit. According to Nilbog in an other post regarding this NPC he has a Spawn chance of 20 %. LUUUUUUUULLLLLLLZ.

No need to ban me. In exactly 3 hours from now on i transfer all my pp and all pricey items i got to a friend and delete all characters. Looking for some better experience elsewhere !

As someone who has done the quest upwards of 30 times, Netflix or YouTube is your BFF. I usually camp the char at Tyklar and just log back on at 8am or whatever. Then do something else with the rest of the Norrath day.

i am on green. Camped him Friday for 6 hours. Yesterday for 9 hours. and today it is close to 10 hours. Is not that i sit here and stare at the Spawn point. I did the 3 Freeport Tunnel Quest to repair Faction with the militia. Went from Dubiously to Amiable in that time. Now lets do the math. 25 hours. 2 spawns an hour makes 50 spawns. According to Wiki he has a 14 % Spawn chance. And now while i am writing guess what. he popped. At the beginning of the 25th hour. Thank you for offering help. Very much appreciated ! You're looking at the stats backwards

I never took stats, but by math that's 0.86 * 0.86 * 0.86 * ... well, to cut to the chase, 0/86 ^ 50 =0.00053079, or 0.053079%.

Now, I have no idea how many Soulfires are done each year (certainly less now that they're Paladin only). Let's call it a hundred because that makes my math easy.

The chance that 1 in 100 get the bad run you had is something like a 5%. In other words, the RNG is evil sometimes, and it's not unreasonable that one unlucky soul like yourself would have such bad luck ... but there's also a decent chance th wiki's 14% number is too high.

You can go 12+ hours at the Ancient Cyclops spawn in OOT without seeing him.

You can see him twice in 3 spawns.

I've seen both, RNG is like that.
