Can someone bump the thread I made about the same problem

Like I don’t mind paying for an MQ, what I do have a problem with is waiting in line for the ancient cyclops when the Druid in front of me has 26 corpses, many of which are decaying, that have the ancient ring on them

At a certain point this violates the PNP since it’s literally zonewide disruption

Like u could do this with a lot of other items, imagine if I just decided I’m going to make it a personal hobby to camp monk pipes indefinitely, effectively making it really difficult for monks to farm this item. This ain’t playing nice, nor is it classic, in true classic someone would just ks or train you and you would get blacklisted, lol.

I feel like these ppl forcing a monopoly on items they don’t need is zone wide disruption, and a direct violation of the PNP, and plan to write a letter to my congressman this fall asking for them do something about it. What was the point of building a wall in misty thicket if elves can still pour in off the eastern shore while humans twiddle their thumbs,

There's 2 spots the AC can spawn.

I've been out to the oot camp 2-3 times in the past few weeks and it has bee wide open every time.

The AC ring is totally obtainable, I don't think you're trying hard enough.

As soon as the time comes for the AC to pop in Sro you have Good guys and kingdom all over it, so that is a hard pass. The problem with OOT is people get on a list, go fuck off to whatever, come back and demand it is their spot. It's bullshit.

What a weird response. You're complaining about one system where it's totally FTE for everyone in the zone. Shouldn't this be EXACTLY the type of arrangement you'd want if you have a problem with the list system?

Separately, in the list system, why on earth would you complain about having the ability to go on the list and then, you know, go do something else instead of having to sit in one place for hours on end?

Maybe the /list works different for AC, honestly never camped it because its way easier and more efficient to farm the money and buy an MQ. More than happy to pay someone to waste hours sitting there farming an item for me while I actually get to play the game and enjoy what I'm doing and making the money to pay for their time along the way.

Reviewing the Wiki details it looks like the proximity component was removed for AC's /list but you still have to be in the zone and completing the AFK checks to remain on the list. There wouldn't be an incentive for someone to maintain their spot on the list without actively engaging in killing the PH/AC on spawn.

To the extend that occurs the Q&A type details on the wiki suggest that the CSR would intervene if someone was for example sitting in zone semi-afk only completing the checks to stay on the list and not actively interacting with the camp. So if you run into that just /petition. It also appears that there is still a 1 week timeout in play once you're knocked off the list (although some of this may be outdated info on the wiki)

First, politics are not allowed on these forums per staff rules, so please restrain yourself. Although given your join date and post count, I would imagine you've already been banned for things like this comment, so maybe you're fully aware.

Second, way to not respond to my post at all. if you don't like waiting on a list, but you don't like the SRo dynamic where it's fully FTE, what exactly is the system you would propose?
