Yeah you can sneek up to the area you died.

Get close, try not to agro what agro'd you before.

put /corpse on a hotkey

and spam it, when you are close enough to the corpse it will appear at your feet when you type /corpse.

You can do this through walls and stuff, so that can help with agro.
