Without the subsidies, we wouldn't have (or at least we'd have a lot less) "corn addiction".

The main (though certainly not the only) effect of all those subsidies is to make corn cheaper. People consume cheap things more than they consume expensive things, and so they consume more corn when its price is artificially low.

The corn addicts are being provided with corn at a subsidized price.

The majority of all corn addicts vote to end the corn subsidization.

What should happen to the corn?
