2.8 ghz i7 with 4 gb ram Final answer I7 has much more processors speed And in the future you can always upgrade the Ram to 8gig or more, just make sure the latop/desktop doesn't have an integrated graphics, anything ATI or Nvidia. 1.0 or 1.5 at best for laptops. | ||

depends what you're using it for
video games the 400 Mhz difference won't give you all that much of a performance difference, whereas the 4gb memory difference in most cases would give a nice boost. but u can upgrade ram and it's relatively cheap, so if the prices are pretty similar on both I'd probably go with the i7 if price gap is large and the laptop is for gaming, I'd consider the i5 | ||
