Of course. You mocked a project more successful than any other in the rich history of emu pvp when you should be turning to it for direction.

You dense fucks "ROfl" without even realizing Null, top dev of vztz, is now deving here. When the vz/tz source code got released (during 2.0, before 2.5/3.0), the diffs were immediately added to stock eqemu code. Without vztz and the work of Null, Daxum, Rancar and Voidd alot of pvp mechanics wouldn't be functional, and would have had to be written from the ground up for here. They made the warp/ghost/zone/hack detector. PwnedEmu popularized and matured emu to the point that people could actually consider abandoning live for emu.

Servers don't last 4+ years if they are of inferior quality, it's practically unheard of in Emu history outside of maybe PEQ and KMRA (aka both blue as fuck who cares).

Null is great. That's pretty much the only correct part of your post. VZTZ was a poorly coded shithole that in no way compares to either of the p99 servers. Here's a post with a list of glaring problems with previous pvp servers (including VZTZ) that were fixed on blue99:

http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...95&postcount=1

Also, you can't say it lasted long when it had a ridiculously low population even with boxing allowed.

So Harrison - why do you post here, again?

I'm starting to think you had a traumatic experience getting corpse camped in a game when you were a child or something.

You make it seem like some unstable unplayable piece of crap. Nothing could be further from the truth, because VZ/TZ added much to the maturity of emu as anyone who has seen it over the years evolve can attest to. Your post you linked, you listed pathing. Really? That's just adding nodes to the zone, simple shit built into the emu core circa 2002. I never had problems with that and everything else you listed is irrelevant hyperbole as well.

There is not much difference in terms of stability and subtleties of gameplay between loading up a stock emu install and the red99 code, so let's not misconstrue it. The only major thing p99 can flaunt over any other server on the list is a high number of active devs to trim the fat here and there to make certain things more "classic", and the antihax .dll. Props where props are due. The only reason VZ/TZ died is because it ended up with Voidd being the sole coder who was a total tyrant who had been caught years earlier giving duped GM items to his pals (and subsequently removed, but came back when everyone else had moved on), and Keegan pulling the plug on hosting because he sells plastic man asses over the internet for a living.

Finally: Ridiculously low population? It was the strongest box in its place in history, for as long as it was around, higher than PEQ, killed KMRA, etc etc. at least until blue99. Not the boxes fault most people are fat vaginas even when it comes to video games.

Except that the stock emu code has virtually no pathing, no cheat detection, no working instrument modifiers, extremely buggy/unbalanced spells, and unbelievable amounts of exploits (including dupe exploits, recharging exploits, and exploits with modifying the spells file that are fixed only on p99). Are you trolling?

No Pathing. False. Built into the core of eqemulator c. 2002. Thousands of nodes. Can easily add more with #commands

No Cheat detection. False. VZ/TZ created the first anti warp/zone/ghost/etc detector, and now comes stock. March 2008.

Buggy, unbalanced spells? You probably can't actually name any but need specifics. Either way, database edits for the most part, easy fix.

Instruments don't work. False. We've been over this before. I equip drum, I run faster. I equip lute, my dot hits harder. What more could you possibly want?

Exploits. Recharging can be toggled with basic C++ knowledge. Spell file fix is pretty common knowledge now, the crc32 checksum was cracked to be from some obscure algorithm, and in fact given to Voidd for vztz by p99 staff. Any dupe bug discovery is fixed on both p99 and the Emu stock.
