You are creating extra work for GM's. so if you kill this NPC i will see it as a direct choice to cause the GM's a LOT of extra work.

The perl does not work right - so if you kill him then when he DOES respawn I have to catch nilbog to get him to come rerun the perl. and they can't just rerun it all the time. it could potentially cause problems.

SO STOP SCREWING THINGS UP FOR MONKS.

can't edit MOTD. only reason for anyone to kill brother balatin is to try and screw over other people.

he's so far out of the way he's not an exp mob.

i've broadcast about this before also and the people who are killing him ARE IN IB AND TMO AND VD. so it's not like they don't know.

Not everyone is supposed to get their epic here due to bottle necks. I'm sure the people killing him are just making sure it's as true for wizards necros and bards as it is for monk. Just tell people to stop complaining about it or power him up so that he DTs and shouts whoever tries to aggro him.

You're still able to kill him, but there will be consequences for doing so. The mechanics are still classic.

I haven't killed Balatin in weeks, however I do not think people should be reimbursed if they didn't bother to fucking hail the mob before doing the hand in.

These are epics, not fucking charity/welfare items.

It's not an issue of being allowed to kill him on classic. The spawn timer and the script are currently bugged pending the next update. So killing him to prevent other people from completing their turn in is exploiting the bug which is against the rules.
