How to edit/disable some sounds?
The sounds I want to edit or disable are:
1) Completion of quest 2) Looting a creature with coin 3) Level up Specifically, I want to lower the volume or just remove if I can't lower it.

Got my answer here:
snd2.pfs -> endquest.wav (the completed quest sound) snd2.pfs -> levelup.wav (the ding sound) snd2.pfs -> buyitem.wav (the coin sound) Just deleted em. Used EQInside. I think buyitem.wav is the one that's used when looting, but it might not be. I'll find out. And I hope that the program I used didn't bug or make my client messed up. You can also use S3DSpy(exe), but need to keep backups of the original files. I wonder if they fixed that on live? Those sounds are extremely loud to my ears. I mean, it seems like most sounds do not irritate my ears. But those vibrate my ear drum and it almost hurts. In all this, gotta keep in mind that these are proprietary files. In a way, it reminds me of any single player game that you might hack/mod, like Morrowind or Oblivion, except this is an MMO client.

I have the exact opposite problem, I suddenly don't hear the chance sound when looting.
Any solutions? Only happens on certain characters.

Bag sounds can also be loud.

If you're not hearing the coin sound on looting it's probably because you've turned Autosplit on.
The bag looting and quest turnin sounds are multiplied by the number of items in the bag or turnin. Full bags seem to get one loot sound per item in them, so full bags are loud. Same is true of quest turnins. Try one item at a time vs four items at a time to see what I mean. It's classic.
