This.

Although, to be honest, I had always thought that GM's banned MQ flagged accounts in an proactive manner, rather than a one off, manual "oh this account is flagged for MQ, must ban now" manner. At least up until the Bouncerr scandal.

Of course, while selling accounts for platinum has always been "frowned upon" but not illegal, I suppose one can argue that its buyer beware in situations like this.

As an aside, I guess that everyone whose ever purchased an account is in danger of that account being flagged for MQ at the time of purchase and being banned at a random time in the future, regardless of whether they actually used it or not. Something that can be fixed, if all MQ flagged accounts were banned on the spot (which I'm sure can be handled by a constant running script or something)

Even fi we were to believe your story, which is a bit of a stretch at this point, do you mind telling us "why" your flagged account alt was banned?

Clearly there are a lot of MQ flagged accounts from the past out there that were forgiven, and they are not being banned randomly every day. So that means that you must have done something to actively get this account banned. What was it? Did you load up MQ2 again?

Or are you claiming the GMs were just "mad" at you and since your account was marked as an MQ2 user they decided to ban you, even though this has never been documented as happening to any other MQ2 flagged account in the history of this server, and there are still 100s of MQ2 flagged users running around who haven't been "unlucky"?

Fess up, what did you do?

As an officer, I looted a Trakanon loot item (Dragon guts) The trak fte was in question, so all items were taken by GM's, who then saw that there was an undated flag. (GM's do not see dates of flags, Rogean can though) At this point, they banned the char.

Btw do you always sound like this guy in your posts?

Btw all my posts up to this point have been informative and tell the entire story. So, getting back to work and done feeding the trolls [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Have a good one on this thread.

So you're saying that because your character was involved in an FTE dispute, and that the account was MQ flagged that you were banned for... what... exactly?

Sounds like you were banned for ninjalooting then.

I thought guilds usually got raid suspensions for such acts?

It makes absolutely 0 sense to ban an account for something that happened 1.5 years ago on a completely seperate issue. Something isn't adding up.

Is that supposed to be an insult Eccezan, Andy Griffith was 10 times the man you will ever be and would have not needed to use MQ to play a cleric.
