If it has to have an xp penalty then Human Paladin imo. Such shitty soloing untwinked. Otherwise I'd say Gnome Warrior.

Iksar warrior

Pros: AC, regen
Cons: starting location with no clerics near them, exp penalty, can't bind themselves,
no feign death like other iksar tanks, tough to get food/water/bank on main land,
gearing an iksar warrior is an issue during Kunark

This is also a race/class option that turns out to be pretty good in Velious and could be helpful/unique later on.

Negative. I solod my old iksar warrior to 30 with relatively cheap gear.

Have you ever rolled an erudite paladin? It's literally the worst experience I've had in Everquest. Why would verant do that to someone?

You can solo with harmony in cb/mistmoore until you ding 45 no problem. even push 50 if you are a bit mad.

Has to be warrior gnome. even a paladin erudite must still be good once they catch boats to befallen/unrest no? dat undead dd spells plus a bronze 2h!
