And since Cadillac stopped making them, devilles only appreciated on the 3rd party market. Cadillac also stopped making full size sedans. The market for the deville is huge right now. People want a Cadillac that's a Cadillac experience, not the Nuevo-trying-hard-to-be-Audi-BMW shit they are going for since 2012.

Don't sell to a dealer, its a fucking scam. I can get 15k probably from a private. The dealer offered me 1.9k (My car is fully loaded, level 3 luxury package) I stifled my laugh to conform to social norms said I'd consider it on a 2012 Brand new, ZERO MILES CTS-V they had waiting on the lot....,

and then I checked the blue book and smiled hard at how many people they are fucking up the ass. Offering 1k on a trade for a fully loaded "Good" condition 2008 deville? Cringe. Strange feels man, some people lol smh...

hmm i wonder what our cars actually sell for? these are cars that sold. keep in mind these are dealer prices, private sale value is lower. took the liberty of guessing his was around 100k since that's what he posted. edits are to cut out all the 10k miles cars and stuff so this post isn't huge.

man i used to love that Cadillac boat steering, ive dailied a bunch of Cadillacs over the years but these days i like crisp & responsive steering. in general i'm really picky with anything that doesn't have a mechanical rack, that's why i like older cars. some new sports cars get the electronic steering right how i like it tho.

the trunk's pimp as fuck. it could easily fit 2 good size hookers, maybe 4 or 5 if you cut their limbs off and stack em up like lincoln logs.

i used to love it but i've had it for a long time and i'm bored with it. but yeah, future classic, it's going to be tough to part with if i sell since its the last year of the last real Cadillac..

trade ins are always shit. i'm still cringing at my friend who impulse bought a 128i and traded in his mint 60k miles 98 z3 i6 for like a grand. i would have paid him at least 5 on impulse, prolly 7 if he held the carrot in front of my nose for a couple days. still haven't seen one that clean, only saving grace is that it was a meh paint color.

and ya kerwin, i know an m3's worth 3-4x as much as my car. i was shopping for e30 m3's and e28 m5's when i bought it. drove a few & realized the rev happy i4 + gearing is shit in traffic and shit on the highway. m3's make horrible daily drivers. i'll admit that & it's my favorite non-supercar.

Kerwin's 300 definitely has a reputation, but for how much longer I don't know. That generation who appreciates the ZX is getting older and I think its like you said, without the right specs Im not paying more than 2k-3k if I was in that market.

I imagine a lot of the 300ZX price elasticity hinges on a far smaller of subset of people than the BMW aficionados. Maybe you could get the money Kerwin is talking about if you find a white suburban kid whos hot for rice and buying his first car. without the turbos man I don't see it.

ya it's too late to get in on e30's now prices are already going to the moon. unless you wanna buy 3 shitty ones and have a project. same deal with 2002's. if u don't already have one "good luck"

like if i really wanted to be a dick, my dashboard is almost worth as much as the NA z32. crack free baby. new ones are NLA so the value on a crack free e30 dash is only goin up now.

with or without the turbos, most i'd spend on a 300zx is 3.5 unless it came with a retarded amount of service history or a really well documented build thread.

he's totally right that a stock 300zx can hit 10k+, and there's a lot of them out there worth 10k+, but they have to be pretty close to perfect cosmetically and mechanically. turbo or not they're notoriously unreliable cars with some parts availability issues and most of them have been ruined by previous owners. the money in 300zx's is with 100% stock + clean low miles ones with maintenance or a restoration. people buy them for the aesthetic (they are beautiful cars) and no other reason. a bolt-on 500whp build like kerwin was talking about isn't worth as much as a stock one if we're talking about the higher end of the market.

actually u can still get lower end e30's for cheap if u search around and find a grandma who doesn't know what they have or the right non runner. doing that you'll prolly end up with an early model eta but those ones get some good body kit choices if u got coin to spend. restoring a shitty e30 will nickel and dime u to death if u live in the states tho, unless you live in the northwest because there's no rust + massive following = lots of part outs.

i got a 93 hardtop 300zx with custom interior/sound/body etc and i love these cars but..

fuckin pain in the ass on maintenance and they honestly drive like shit. pretty much only for looking nice and straight line driving. got the e46 coupe too and it drives much nicer, steering doesnt feel like shit in it and much better visibility

tt got a knock about a month ago, rebuild this winter but this is like my 3rd build so kinda annoying at same time, maintenance is pretty bad but if you do right things like egr delete etc much easier to work on.

im sure the bmw handles the corners a bit better but with the right suspension and brakes tt be right there with u
