I also only crash when im zoning into EC...I will have to reboot and try over and over again until I can get in. Sometimes it takes 4-5 tries to just get onto my toon again.

I tried using EQplaynice and it seems to be working, but I'm also on a different internet connecting right now, so I'll have to try this at home. If it is my router maybe someone can suggest a fix for that?

I was experiencing the crash on zone loading, wouldn't do anything other then let me move mouse and had to Alt + Ctrl + Del to end game.

Running it on Win7 Premium x64 w/ AMD Athlon II X4 635 Quad proc, 4gig ram, NVidia GTX 465 >_<, I changed the compatibility options for eqgame.exe to: run under Windows 2000 and disable desktop composition

So far havent had any other issues, might work for someone else

I know it's kind of odd, and I've been playing here for well over a year now.. but whenever I try to zone into EC on any character, the zone time is 3-4x the normal amount (regardless of players in the zone), but I never crash, it just takes that long to zone. All other zones are fine.

I never had this problem up until recently. In the past, I had a few other bugs which forced me to run through WinEq2, but I never froze while zoning until recently. It just started happening within the last week or so and I hadn't changed anything. Then I realized I started using Skype (peer2peer voice chat interface) about the same time it started crashing. As soon as I stopped using skype, it stopped freezing and ran smoothly. I don't know if that was actually the problem, but I haven't had a problem since. I would check and make sure you close all extraneous programs while running your client, it just may interfere with the game.
