No, that's you, don't get it twisted. I did play recently enough on the server, and across many eras, whereas you have no real verifiable Red server experience, and keep saying incorrect things about the server either way.

The fact is, there are many current Green/Blue players who would have a better time on Red if they really tried. Red for years has been basically a PvE server with less overcrowding and bit more excitement. Only very occasional PvP.

You can keep repeating this nonsense, and that doesn't make any of it true. Here are some facts you are forgetting:

1) You cannot dismiss my experience on red.
2) You admit you don't even play here, so you don't have any experience since you left. But I do.
3) You claim there is very little PVP on red, but there is also very little PVE.

It's a dead server. You yourself have even moved on. Please remind me why you're still posting here?

When green was originally made, staff stated very clearly that it would merge with blue after the timeline is complete which would be some time after the final velious patch at which point custom UI and all other stuff would match Blue rules.

Since then, staff has stepped back from the original certainty and said more or less "We'll see"

I can't think of a single rational argument for keeping the servers separate when they are on the exact same timeline except for people that want to poopsock pharm on both servers at the same time and double their productivity without breaking any boxxing rules.

Same goes with red. No reason to do anything with existing red, it can be the archive of completed PVP servers just like blue can be the archive of completed non PVP servers.

I'm looking forward to red 2.0 like everyone else is. So many small fixes that the incredibly competent p99 team can implement to make it the most enjoyable EQ experience since 1999.

I'll find time to play.

So many people lean on that second part as their crutch, but the possibility exists that they only said it to shut up the whiners for the time being. Certain factions were crying and complaining about the future merge incessantly here on the forums before green even fucking launched.

Merger is the most sensible, manageable and likely scenario.

Negative. They also mentioned adding classic inspired custom content to Blue at some point. If they did that there would be a good reason to have Green be a separate graveyard for the newly completed classic only servers.
