What this refers to is the legacy calendar system still used for some formal documents. So it's not "7" but rather "Reiwa-7", using a combination of the Emperor's name and the number of years since he was enthroned. Acknowledged as archaic, but hey, tradition! Any comments Reiwa? I mean Your Highness. | ||
