You guys are on the right track with the DLL, but I'll say that nothing is based on the MAC Address. Nor is it processes (Our DLL does not send information to the server about other processes running on your computer unless a process interacts with the EQ Client).

The dsetup.dll tracks something...my sophos is constantly popping up saying its a virus/malware. I had to set it to skip live scanning that file in order to play
