It's was not all that complicated for me to make some krono off spells on Agnarr, sell them, and then take up pottery.

It's not going to be that hard to sell krono 2 months away from Luclin, and then buy it for 2/3 price (or less) when the bazaar opens.

However, most people don't care about krono and just want to play the game.

And that's how life is. He got to make sure the krono farmers aren't fucking everyone over so that regular people can't have a good time.

no, i just respect success. i prefer to win and losing does not feel any less shitty if i delude myself into believing that an opponent was able to successfully exercise an unfair advantage. that just makes me feel liek more of a loser. i understand that i am fucked-up and lack talent/competency in most meaningful activities, but my fucked-upness is not the fault of anyone else. if i allow it to disadvantage me, then that is my fault. i can contribute in the ways that are best suited to me and i prefer to surround myself with those who exhibit exceptional competency in those many areas that I do not. basically, I'd rather be a cheerleader for a winning team than a star player for a losing one and that has nothing to do with my general distaste for sportsball or affinity for girly things.

I think you can do a lot in this country without ever raising anyone's taxes or directly handing people basic income. But those two things will probably still happen.

Law is as bad as it will ever get from a job outlook standpoint. What you don't realize is not like lawyers are there just because they have legal knowledge...its a buy in to a group that looks out for themselves and makes their jobs 100% necessary regardless of how useful they are individually*. It's not like you need a degree an engineering to be a engineer....but all be damned if anyone is going to be hired an engineer in this country without paying their buy in.

Big law firm hiring is dead. It's a bureaucracy rich kids sign up for. They make sure your rich before you get in and you didn't just slip through by being a smart middle/poor kid. People looking to get hired at some big company for good salary and benefits are generally fucked unless they grew up in a family of upper middle class or wealthy professionals.

Not everyone files their own taxes because they can, not everyone is going to do their own legal work because they can. Criminals need lawyers that can talk to ADA's, judges, juries...etc

I'll generally respect/like anyone who's not a coward...most are people are cowards.

*A lot of people do this kind path: of School --> Lawschool ---> can only find a low paying job ---> kill themselves/ or stay defeated low paid peon. You meet a lot of people with law degrees not practicing law....because they never wanted to anyway. They wanted someone to tell them what to do and pay them a lot of money for it. Shit doesn't work that way anymore... it did in Mick's generation a little (a lot more in the Boomer generation) but not ours. Tech doesn't even work that way either...you pretty much have to join the military/government if that's what you want.

they are 100% unnecessary, unskilled* and usually corrupt. We don't need to use them...still going strong. You can make a lot of money with some talent at this.

* they are salesmen....not people that understand why a house goes for x...they just read that shit off some software program.

A future lawyer is talking about another profession being useless

If 90% of congressmen weren't lawyers the legal profession wouldn't be nearly as lucrative as it is. But good luck lobbying against all lobbyists and legislators (Lawyers). I hope you realize you're going into the most undeserving profession in America in terms of reimbursement

Law degree? yes

Low paid law job? yes

Having your own law firm (or solitary practice even) and making good money? No. It's just as hard as anything else that makes good money. Some people find this out the hard way.

Edit: Who I resent most of all, is people that love to network and socialize by nature...they are basically set for life in the modern American economy. They never do any work..
