Read pretty much all their books as a kid, some multiple times. I used to be a voracious reader as a kid

I think the one where the kid puts a scary mask on that he can’t take off was the first “scary” book I ever read

If I recall most weren’t that scary (sometimes moreso cool than scary), except for one that I’m hazy on now but it was like I think the kid’s parents had been killed by plants and replaced with imposters or something? That were also plants? That one actually kinda scared me as a kid
haha that mask one they made into first episode of the TV show [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I kind of liked the jack black movie.

Hopefully this isn’t too much gore to not be allowed, at one point you can see the bear is pretty roughed up

But bears are just far too resistant to damage. The only reason this was even remotely close was the size difference. Had the bear been even a bit closer to the tiger’s size, and the tiger would be running away much sooner. Supposedly this might be a sloth bear which are pretty tough, lb for lb

I saw a vicious huge bear vs bear fight where I was convinced multiple times one of the bears was dead. They just lay there for a while with the other chomping on their neck, until they catch their second wind and are like “ok enough of this” and stand up lol. And the huge gaping wound? Barely notices it with that metabolism. But in that bear v bear fight I was pretty sure the bear that eventually was trying to run away didn’t make it. Also seeing them go actually full out which is even harder than they go on prey you realize just how even lower into the negatives your chances of unarmed survival are

I saw some talk about cats in another thread and it reminded me of one of my all time favorite youtube channels.

He repeats his good point about expecting too much in many different ways but still I agree with his perspective

And of course he uses EQ as a reference so I give him bonus points for that
