XP is slow, but not due to the lack of mobs as much as a huge XP nerf. Not sure what they're trying to achieve, takes 2 letters to Kelethin to get 1% XP and wasps/bats are 1% per kill each at level 1. Not how I remember Velious! I think they know they've screwed up, the beta was allowing 4 blues for the bard mail quest so they changed something purposely.
