Having said that I must confess in 09 I was walking to the bar when I saw a massive meteor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1amG4oW9Vg as the night sky light up brighter then daytime for a split second I looked for cover and thought I might be witnessing a cataclysmic event. I have NEVER seen anything like it before or after and it was pretty amazing!

And if people are going to refer to Russian meteors in a post like this, you should really refer to the Tunguska event. Can you imagine the destruction an event like that would cause if it happened in a major urban area today? There would be more the a few thousand injured for sure
