That is fair. But I think you're not using your own logic. The only reason you needed that many on live to progress was because of competition. Holo's current size isn't necessary for a server this size IMO.

That may have been true on live but the gear check barrier has been blown so far out of the water on this server that it isn't the case imo. I was in smaller guilds on RZ <Fearful Symmetry>, <Swarm of Fear> etc. We weren't leading the server but we progressed just fine through content (if not a little behind the big 3-5) with raids of 20ish.

The gear has nothing to do with it. With the exception of 1-2 items everything will be replaced within a month.

And you didn't do jack shit at the top tier in Velious with 20, unless it was 2 xpacs later.

Velious is a great xpac because its like 90% end game content without any level cap increase, AAs, etc. It's 100% focused on getting items. You can upgrade almost every slot from Kunark with 1 group if you put the time in doing SG, WW dragons, DN, quests like bracer of benevolence, get a few Lodizals, etc.

It sucks we can't really have true competition in the end game because of server pop. Maybe i'll be wrong and we'll spike to 500ish with the excitement around Velious and we can have 2 heavyweights duking it out I dunno.
