I am beginning to realize nobody in America really even knows what socialism is... or even anything about their own society and history.

Where do they think things like 40 hour work weeks came from? Workplace safety regulations? Compensation for injured workers? Minimum wage? Pensions(whch pretty much are no more in the private sector)? Maternity leave? Mandatory vacation, sick leave, breaks? Liberals and socialists fought hard for those things. Nevermind programs like Medicare that are so fucking popular that any politician who tries to touch it explodes on contact with the hordes of old people who love to vote. Pretty much only libertarians are idiotic enough to oppose something like Medicare on ideological grounds (the way we run it is a different story)

Now it's just a bunch of brainwashed temporarily embarrassed millionaires who think being sycophantic toward business is the only way to keep the economy from exploding.

Its finally becoming obvious that the way we've treated education for the last 40 years is paying off.

Sure, it's about a central banking system and turning you into a slave of the global technocrats.. at least the slaves they don't eliminate through democide which is a massive number. Means to an ends.

As for minimum wage, who works for minimum wage? sheesh. Every job I've had was much above any gov set minimum, and I always increased my wage by working hard and learning as much I could about what was going on around me, even going to school while I worked. And I use to have awesome health care with that, and a 401k, all gone now [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] along with those technical jobs.

You argue over what flavor of tyranny you prefer to savor. You act like Bush wasn't the same and headed in the same direction as the others; the new boss same as the old boss.

But be it as it may, here is your expected reply, Lune: (I like quotes) [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'm enjoying the irony of American Sanders supporters lecturing me, a former Soviet citizen, on the glories of Socialism and what it really means! Socialism sounds great in speech soundbites and on Facebook, but please keep it there. In practice, it corrodes not only the economy but the human spirit itself, and the ambition and achievement that made modern capitalism possible and brought billions of people out of poverty. Talking about Socialism is a huge luxury, a luxury that was paid for by the successes of capitalism. Income inequality is a huge problem, absolutely. But the idea that the solution is more government, more regulation, more debt, and less risk is dangerously absurd.
And here is his comment on what he said: http://www.thedailybeast.com/article...hrough-it.html
