Either way Tromp would be dealing with the same shit situation we have right now had he won.

Shutting down the machine is real bad.

Apply that to schools, it's gonna be a little dark age when they grow up.
Make sure to sanitize and wear a mask.

The reason we are havnig shortages is becasue they are simply not sending ships to the USA because our ports are full, and so are the warehouses of most of our goods. We dont get direct shipments anymore and everything is piggybacking on ships coming from europe and africa.

East coast ports, just waiting:

You can see we still have some flow of ships from china on the west:

But even in LA/SD for example you can see most of the container ships are still just waiting to drop stuff off, its incredibly wasteful for them to ship stuff to us, when we are not unloading it fast enough.

So what is happening is that most of the chinese goods are going through asia, africa and to EU first, because they can stop along the way and unload stuff, pick stuff up, and then send it over to us.

So we're getting less shipments, but it's because we're just taking in less because we have a supply chain breakdown at our PORTS/trucking, not at the shipping level.

This is what the shipping lanes to the USA used to look like on both coasts.

If it made sense to send that many ships directly to us again, we'd be back down to 9k a container.

I think it's a pressure campaign to make us waive the Jones Act, which is a bad fucking idea. Port and shipyard jobs pay well and are vital to our national interest.

I think he won't because it meshes well with his pro-union positions.

The question really is, is it a sacrifice we have to make to beat Putin. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

i'm critical of capitalism. doesn't make me a socialist. i don't believe i've ever even made a pro-china post.

not that china is actually socialist. or communist. just another authoritarian imperialist state, decaying into fascism, starting at a slightly different angle than america.
