Ren Fen was fun, crowded as all hell (as always) and there wasn’t nearly enough people wearing green for St Patty’s day weekend theme. Had to give a lot of people there titty twisters for not wearing green because I heard that’s what you are supposed to do. Almost got in a few fights, people did not take it well. Wear green then next time, assholes

Can only post pics here because would lose a few gal friends (for a while) if I posted on FB. So according to FB this was a boring nothingburger weekend

- First few pics are to give an indication of how packed it was. Couldn’t even watch the damn jousting (can see the arena in one of the shots, barely) because there were no seats, the entire stadium was full. So we bailed. Date said she couldn’t see. I asked her “It’s not that hard, have you tried being 6’0?”

- The cat lady had her trained cat jump like 7 feet through a hoop to another platform but I didn’t snap the shot off at the correct time for that epic jump, so the action shot I got was a shorter jump. That last shot is the cat standing on her feet. She was pretty athletic herself, impressive show

She had never rock climbed before but is pretty naturally athletic and very into pushing herself. I tried to inspire by mentioning a girl’s thin build is much more suited to rock climbing than my fat ass at 220lbs. Weight matters when hanging by fingertips

Although we both just did the medium difficulty course. I got to the top and hit the stuffed dragon, she got 2 holds from the top. They put her on a harder medium course than me though for some reason, although I could’ve easily gotten to the top of hers too. Couldn’t have done the advanced one though, where you get $50 for finishing, that shit was ridic fingertip nonsense at a negative angle, pass

I just try to be someone that someone wants to have around, guy or girl doesn’t matter. Trying to make people laugh, ask them about themselves or their week or ask them about things I think they will like talking about

This one is a licensed therapist though, so she is very good at asking questions to get me to talk about myself. So sometimes I will have to be like “Hey stop that. You’re too damn good at asking questions. Don’t use your therapist tricks on me, I am immune”

The problem is she’s going to leave me eventually over not wanting to get married or have kids. She already asked me once here if I ever wanted to have a kid and I had to be honest and say “no, even as a kid I never had that dream of raising a kid someday. I always felt weird and alone when all my friends talked about wanting the white picket fence and family with kids and I didn’t”

The last gal I dated for 8ish months left mostly over me not wanting to have kids. And I can’t blame them. Dating girls in their 30’s is very different than 20’s. They are looking to settle down, their bio clock is ticking. I am in a very good position now in terms of situation and I want to keep my options open. I like the idea of being able to pursue whoever I want, whenever I want, without cheating. So I would prefer to stay single through most of my prime 40’s if possible, maybe with the occasional relationships

But I feel bad, like I am wasting their time, and they don’t have time to waste like they used to. But I am also open to having my mind changed too /shrug

Rock climbing is more legs than fingers. Although you need fingers, the upward momentum is more from the legs.
Arms/hands/fingers are more stabilizers than ascending devices.
That being said most of my climbing was on sandstone surfaces IRL.
Like the second sister at Katoomba. A circuitous route like a corkscrew. There was even some existing pitons (gradually being removed) but mostly araldited bolts/plates as secondary protection.

God im old.
