I'm tempted but in all honesty I don't have the free time to start over again. Also on a PvP server level progression is a bit slower considering you have to deal with PKs and constant griefing and trains.

Ill start up a lowbie, but that's prolly it

red will kill p99. splitting the population is the worst thing you could do at this point.

It will attract people who don't play on blue 99. I'd suggest anyone who enjoys blue to still keep up appearances on their character(s) there.

I want to play EQ with people my level - whether it is red or blue doesn't change that, but the fact that this server is red makes it even sweeter :P

It is pertinent to the normal P99 server.

I wouldn't be too sure. Looking beyond the obvious that PvP in itself is more fun than just fighting pixels there are several advantages of a PvP server that people on this server would probably really appreciate. Probably the biggest and most discussed being the ability to compete for gear with poopsockers.

I never heard this term when I played on live on TZ. Infact I didn't even learn what it meant till I played here.

I would guess it is the grind more than the PvP that will make people go back to p99

My own guess is that there are some peope who will play Red exclusively or almost so, because that is what they really like to do. Then there are people who will want to try it out. The majority of these will go back to blue almost exclusively, because they would rather play EQ than deal with all the sadism, smack talk and general craziness that will occur on that server. No offense. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I think the server will have maybe 350 people on peak, by the end of the first week. By the end of the first month, more like 250. About half of these 200 would be "stolen" from blue, IMO.
