Found this interesting, good production value

For me, I have my own language: what I consider a “null” step whether running or speed hiking, is a step that produces no lactic acid and seems to consume no energy. Basically a free step. And at a certain pace, they all become free, which is what allows me to still hike on legs sore from previous day

But increase the pace, and to me the lactic acid is a “stack”, and there is an algorithm working in the muscle to dump off the bottom of the stack. So either the stack is being built too fast, or else the pace is to where the entire stack can be dumped, essentially resetting the legs to neutral

But on a fast 400m, neither of these can happen

there is a technique in mountaineering we use all the time called the "rest step" it is pretty similar to what you are describing

I also really enjoy the luxury of pacing in distance runs. I have always been pretty good at going near hardest in the last 1/3 to 1/4. I like to think of it as the morale breaker, for anyone who might be behind me catching up [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

That’s how I ran too, saving the speed for the end

Unsung banned?! So many of my favorites have fallen to the ban hammer around here. Has he reincarnated yet?

people just need to act like reasonable adults, but most terminally online 100+ posts/day users on a 24year old elf sim forum are likely not very well-adjusted individuals

all you gotta do is stick to your dog whistles and you'll be fine

it's only posting literal racist things, hate speech, or threats/doxing that will get you banned

and if you disagree with the above sentence, please see:

[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

hint: pretty much only posters of one political slant find themselves constantly posting things like this and reaping the consequences. i'm sure even unsung knows it.

whats worse?

the troll who posts 100+ a day

or the person who stares at a 24 year old elf sim forum all day long to pounce on the poster they deem unworthy

this is a game like any other

but I can assure you, the IRL circumstances of an individual who chooses this role are not favorable.
