but there should only be one really nice reward for whoever completes it first, and something small for the rest anyway.
I wonder if people really remember much of the old GM events.

Many of them were hours long, and 1 single person often ended up with a special title or a special item.

didn't get to log in while it was going on, but from what i heard it generated a lot of fun pvp on red99

who gives a shit what the rewards were?

GM events shouldn't mean "time to collect welfare pixels" you ungrateful crybabies

sounded to me like it was an original event that fit the halloween theme

looking forward to more things along this line in the future, thanks braknar

1 person getting a good item would've been cooler than everyone getting a 1-100pp item imo. But again I want to stress that Braknar put a lot of hard work and time into putting this event on for us and we should all be grateful and stop raging so much. The rewards sucked yes. Lesson learned and next time will be better! Hopefully more cool events in the future [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I mean I'm being a bit critical calling this event a "troll," don't let that undermine my criticism. I just want to address the issues with this event, so that the next one can be a hit. On a more positive note, I feel like one major point of success was that on the red server, the PvP was actually fun this time around. The initial vagueness to the quest, along with how spread out the event npc's were, kept the event from becoming 70 people camping a spire or zone line. In that regard, this event was much better designed than the Velious launch. I'm being very critical of this event from a technical perspective, but if the quest "actually worked" it had potential to be a very fun event. There was a lot wrong with it, but also a lot that was done well.

I agree, the event was conducive to actual fun PVP on the red server. And that GM events shouldn't be about collecting "welfare pixels." But what you're missing, is that the event/quest was broken, and the quest NPC's were despawned before most people had a chance to complete the event. There was no possible way to finish the event without a dedicated bard and porter.

None of my criticism of this event is relevant to which server I play on. I did the event on a level 50 and didn't run into a single player in PVP range of me because our group was usually a continent ahead of the rest of the server. So I may as well have been on blue.

yea if that was the case, that sucks

just seems like 99% of the complaints are "my item sucked!!!"
