I'm leaving a few out...but yes you are correct. We really could use simulated patch day respawns.
DUMP THE STUPID VARIANCE!!!

yes, patch day spawns would be quite nice too.

Sorry may i should have pointed out major targets that most people are worried about. maybe draco/djorn should have been added to the 4, if we are naming all the bosses how about we get us some phinny on that list too [You must be logged in to view images. But yea simulated patch day respawns, cool but idk if they are really necessary. People are probably more sick of playing classic right now since its been out for over a year now? I know Devs are working hard and will eventually get it done. keep it up kiddos!

Everybody does realize that people in IB/DA like it when people flame forums about them? They like to feel special that they can say they are somehow superior at EQ Skillz cause they actually get up at 4am to kill a virtual dragon for a chance at lewtz. Of course, they're all in denial about this and they'll say "I don't spend that much time HAH!, My penis is bigger! Ahah!" But we all know the truth.....

I figured that people would just play for the fun of it these days, this is kind of sad.
I realize I'm late to the party on this, but I just wanted to thank TJHooker for his in-depth determination of where the line is in video gaming.
  • Logging in at a "normal" time to kill a cartoon on a 10 year old game for loot that will be obsolete in a 10 year old game in a few months = FUN
  • Waking up at a "random" time to kill a cartoon on a 10 year old game for loot that will be obsolete in a 10 year old game in a few months = SAD
That's why I come to this board - just for the rationalizations.

he's right though, if you happen to be on when a named pops then go for it

if you happen to be sleeping and get a call when a named pops so you can wake up and go for it...well there's larger issues at stake with these individuals

That's their definition of "Raid Competition."

You're right. It's so much more impressive to put in solid 12 hour EQ shifts - but if you pull a 8 hour shift and wake up in the middle of the night to put in 4 hours, you've clearly got issues. In my opinion, both of those individuals probably have "larger issues at stake".

Hardcore players who bitch about people waking up in the middle of the night to play smacks of "Peter North was in my keister"-level butthurt.
