I was there for that. No one left SoTG we just changed names when we merged with a dark guild. When Darkoan left I think Lonrid took over. Thats when I basically stopped playing.

I think our first joint raid was Temple of Veeshan.

I was grouped with Darkoan a bunch and I never really noticed blatant hacks but I was pretty naive back then when it came to that sort of thing. I forget who was always the main PvP group but the name Penelope sounds familiar. She was a girl IRL if I recall.

He was pretty good about not making it blatant but in pvp wars with PDM he'd warp around, zone to non connecting zones easily and instantly etc... He only used them when he needed to, but that did make him a greater threat than entire guilds together.

I had so much respect for Darkoan. I loved the dudes attitude - especially for me being in pandemonium so long. Darkoan was maybe one of the dirtiest players not guilded in PDM. Back in the day if you /q while dueling you would XP kill someone and I used to love seeing all of the bitching going on when he would do that to people. He would train guild raids etc. He was a genuine guy if you knew him, I considered him as much of a friend as I could, but man he did not hesitate to fuck someone right in the ass.

I also remember towards the end of my EQ career in PoP if you went up to a mob outside of one of the planes and said something along the lines of "Disco Sucks!" You'd get a key to get to a zone.

I played on TZ a month before kunark came out. I was lvl 12 and would do Neriak > Freeport raids.

Was in Minions of Zek when Talon was running the show.


Human Retribution were doin it pretty big around then.


Week after kunark I rolled on Prexus so I could blue it up.

I just recently started here. I played on TZ for a longgg time and was in a handful of guilds ranging from halas empire and human retribution, to lex invictus, xanadu and stature of the gods/indignation etc.

I had the most fun in Xanadu - I loved being a teen with no responsibilities in life raiding with the euros. I met some great people there.

just rolled up a barb warrior after searyx started encouraging folks to check it out on tallonzektimes. noob life is rough again but I enjoy the classic pace and the accomplishment it brings with it.
