His point was that anything driving players towards the same zones is going to have a positive effect on a server that currently has less players than # of total zones.

Just calling out "the good xp zones" (say KC, Seb, Dreadlands, Lake) would be cool.

YT (with location) and glocal OOC both indirectly support that very simple concept of getting players to interact with eachother in a "classic" way when you're working with no more than ~15% of the player volume of what the live servers had.

yes those pvp boxes are gone for a number of reasons unrelated to YT or its disclosure of location
Like fucked up resist / hit mechanics, important PvE stuff broken... dupes / cheating... certain other unmentionables.... hmm!

Oh i hope your life is longer than eqemu.. or even the 13 years of eq. ;-)

On a more serious note, most of those pvp boxes are gone now... for a number of reasons.

Was definitely kunark. Even before the exp bonus, pop was 100 players. Since exp bonus, its gone up what, maybe 10 players?

Interesting that the majority of the people in here salivating over locations in YT are the people who will be long gone (again) once the easy mode XP disappears.

Well when they're gone there won't be any YT so why do you care, maybe some will stick around?

Leader board > YT

And that's from every imaginable angle of looking at it. Site gets more hits, it quiets much of the "we own you" or not shit.

I think you forget how immature the YT advocates are Nirgon. Majority of players I see advocating YT act like 5 year olds. Catering to a crowd of instant gratification entertainment consumers doesn't seem in line with "classic eq" or this project. The point Zarah makes is that the biggest advocates for change are the ones who won't stay long after its implemented. Which I agree with.

I was watching the server numbers and only saw around 70ish after kunark was announced. Exp bonus came and it shot up to about 105ish at very peak times.

Wasn't just kunark confirmation sir.

Either way, whichever box gets velious through first will probably win the majority of the population anyways.
