It was a weird addendum to this thread that grew like poison ivy around a robust marble sculpture. We are glad to be rid of it but we do recognize what it looks like without it.

So, like, I really can't tell how serious this thread is. I just saw a screenshot of DMO with a player named 'Snewp Dawg'. Which is:

1. Hilarious.

2. Far more obvious than Ramal Modo.

So, of all possible things, why are people taking issue with Ramal Modo?

The thread started seriously but I stopped caring ages ago. Also I forgot I grouped with Ramal at the guise camp and he was a cool dude.

Also I didn’t know snewp was a character but I definitely would have talked about him if I did.

The original issue I had wasn’t that I cared whether or not the guild was borderline racist or that they had clear evidence of pretending to be black people. The issue I had was that they just wouldn’t admit it and they never really did. I mean. They just kind of kept evading acknowledging that there were certain examples of pretending erudite were black people and quite honestly I don’t know how fickle it is that after like 80 pages of trying to get them to own up to it and failing you just kind of give up and move on with your life.

The truth is I’ve grouped with dmo a bunch and they are mostly really nice people. And I honestly do believe people like nirgon try to cut down on overt racist things where they see it happening but they also turn a blind eye to what some might consider borderline behavior and others might not. Examples being snewp dog. Basketball. Lamar Odom. Etc. I mean. I still think they just kind of let it slide. But I also don’t really honestly care whether they are slightly racist or closet racist or what. I only ever cared that they were lying about pretending there weren’t any borderline issues. And I guess I still care about that but not as much as I care about being a wacky goofball that plays forumqjest for fun while he works until kunark comes out and I start playing the game again and emerge as the King Iksar Warrior of the server that I am.

You know, if you didn't use the word "racist" - which makes everyone assume the worst - when your concern is borderline stuff...you've lost the war.

Your word choice and positions and zealotry left nuance behind 80 pages ago. You need to say what you actually mean and approach us as if we're people who can be reasoned with and talked two instead of enemies on "the other side."

Instead of flailing around crying racism at what are best three or four examples, you could have said "hey I recognize you guys aren't racist, and are trying to do norrathian RP, but there are some borderline things, what do you think about them"

..but since you had to bring out the big guns for such small targets we weren't interested in that conversation...and we are not ever going to be interested in that conversation as long as you are the other party.
