Crypto miners steal the electricity that electric cars could be using to drive their owners around.

A cryptomining car doing YT content while driving an owner around would be interesting.
An overlay of how much relative power usage went to the mining Vs the driving would reveal something interesting.

I knew a IT guy that worked in an office building that the landloard paid for electricity.

First after hours he ran a bios thing on everyone's computer so they could mine bitcoin on their work PCs

then he just started buying mini pc's and running them after hours... It was in the office next to ours, so I only knew him through the coffee shop, and I often wonder how rich that guy is now.
