You guys remind me of myself like 5 years ago. Telling everyone that the Tea Party wasn't anything new and things like Trump will never happen etc... There's a very old rule in USA politics. You can't ignore shit back home and just expand your reputation in D.C. A lot of Democrats are going to be learning this the hard way.

![]() One of the reasons Bezos is successful is because he's not really a conservative with a family that believes in America etc...
He's just a fucking psycho that understands most these fuckin white collar types are useless, you can get more for less out of them, and no one cares about anything but price and shareholder return.

I just got done fucking the GOP in the ass by voting for Trump and the same exact thing will happen with the Democrats. A large percentage of regular Leftists are traditional Progressives and the Democrats think they can convince them to swallow Neoliberalism. It's not happening. At least not as much as they want. Take comfort in the fact that the Left will have their own "Trump" soon as well. Many thought it was Bernie Sanders, but it'll be someone else. Unfortunately, you're going to suffer through years of your party ignoring you.

You are making interesting points about privilege and why I don't have it. However, you seem to be ignoring the fact that you cannot have a meritocracy where there is a finite number of positions people are expected to race toward, and some are starting out on third base. You will have less talented people occupying the top positions. Some very talented individuals won't even bother trying when they see how rigged the game is. After awhile they spiral into defeatism and depression. That's fine, whatever, we don't live in a meritocracy... Except its not fine because that meritocracy myth is the only thing that has been justifying the neoliberal policies that have been pushed through since the 80s. Without that justification, its just a money grab for the well-off, isn't it? Therefore, there will obviously be a demand for those policies to be reverted. So conservatives are forced into a denial. Mick is in denial. He can't admit the policies that benefit him are predicated on myths and that these myths have created instability. As Peterson says. Men start killing each other when competition gets too fierce. There is a causal link between inequality and violence. But Mick wants to keep blaming powerless, loser "liberals" for America's increasing instability. So much that he actually defended the raging drunk aristocratic Kennedy family that has probably received enormous sums of money from the government (mostly indirect).

![]() Keep in mind, physical violence is only one kind of fucked up behavior. Other kinds include: rigged court cases, buying politicians, white collar crime such as fraud, and anti-social exploitation of those weaker than you.
All of this encourage by the unfair, high-steaks system of incentives we have descended into. To be sure it was never a utopia in America. But after Roosevelt things were getting better...until abandoned that track for the neoliberal order. We can all just plot together against the public about how to get the better of this broken system... but traditionally it falls on the higher orders to maintain stability and order. The problem is the anti-meritocratic system has produced a class of spoiled little brats that think earned their exorbitant passive income that allows them lord over others. Similar to the lead up to the American revolution. When the privilege was horded by the well born of Britain. We should take some advice from Aristotle and recognize that the welfare state is what keeps things stable. It's always been that way.
