Ready to go <Anonymous>?

Southpaws needed Trunt's head for his epic, so <Anonymous> headed to the Mines of Nurga in search of a sleeping ogre. We wandered past goblins then spiders. And then we spotted him laying on the ground in a supine position.

We started forming groups and summoning pets and I took it upon myself to bind myself in case the fight went bad. Unfortunately instead of casting the Bind Affinity spell, I casted the Gate spell and was whisked away to Burning Wood right outside of Chardok.

It was quite embarrassing having the raid force waiting on me as I found my way back there.

I finally made it back and when I did, I decided this force needed a pep talk. So, I told them "Trunt hits like a mack truck and there is a good chance we will lose". Reverse psychology! The guild felt like they had to prove me wrong and prove me wrong they did!

In my all of years playing this game and raiding, rarely have I seen the tenacity and ferociousness I saw when <Anonymous> tore into Trunt. I truly believe he did not know what hit him.

We kept the pressure on him until, abruptly, he turned to flee.<Anonymous> continued to pummel him until he was dead.

<Anonymous> didn't get up to much last night...

That was a joke! Since when does <Anonymous> not get up to much?!?!?!?!

Last night, I was at the local Jason's Deli with the wife and kids trying to keep one kid from sticking her ice cream in another kid's hair when I received a text from Hawkai (one of the Officers of <Anonymous>). Fear was popped and we were forming up for the break in! Woot!

I got home, put the kids in bed, and logged on my Shadow Knight. He needs some sweet Planar loots!

Barkle was SOW-ed and in EC tunnel and <Anonymous> had successfully finished the break in! Go <Anonymous>!

I decided to run to the Plane of Fear since all of our porters were already there raiding. As I ran, the officers were linking loot in Guild Chat.

I finally arrived and joined in the fun!

Then I let the rest of <Anonymous> fight some mobs while I stood there scratching an itch on my butt.

And we did more fighting!

Lots of planar loot dropped and we spawned two Iksar Broodlings! Sepheric and Ardg were on hand to loot them! Woot!

We cleared all of the mobs but the mobs in the ring of fire. We decided that in the time it took us to clear all of those mobs, we could have finished one of our shaman's epics.

So, we packed up the guild in the station wagon and took a drive over to the City of Mist in the Emerald Jungle.

<Anonymous> got set up at the moat and we started pulling out Black Reavers. This was the quickest reaver pulling session we have ever had and in less than 10 minutes, we had spawned Lord Rak'Ashiir. Wow!

This was the fastest / safest we have ever killed Lord Rak'Ashiir, too. Within 30 seconds of Sepheric turning in the Iksar Tear, Lord Rak'Ashiir was dead. <Anonymous> suffered no casualties!

Sepheric looted the Scale and went off to do his turn in. This morning, I received a postcard from him. Apparently, he and Berry decided to hit the beach after all of that work getting the Shaman epic.

Last night (in what might be considered a "rare meeting of minds"), the Guild assembled to help an <Anonymous> Paladin and an <Anonymous> Shadow Knight each do their final kill for their level 49 spell.

<Anonymous> started on the shore of the lake in West Commonlands. Our paladin, Banindor, had traveled all over the face of Norrath collecting the remains of a fallen paladin and had sealed them in A Gem Encrusted Casket. <Anonymous> watched as Banindor turned A Gem Encrusted Casket in to Simon Aldicott.

All of a sudden, A Tortured Revenant spawned and <Anonymous> found themselves in a fight to the death. <Anonymous> fought like griffins and presently, A Tortured Revenant was dead and Banindor was in possession of his Holy Might spell!

It was getting late and Anonymous had one more job to do, so they quickly raced down to the Mountains of Rathe. They set up just south of the zone line to the Feerrott and waited for Garignaq to turn in the Pulsating Hyacinth Telesm to Kazzel D'Leryt. Right when Kazzel got his hands on the turn in, monstrous zombie spawned and attacked! <Anonymous> attacked back with a vengeance!

Within a minute, monstrous zombie was just a pile of monstrous bones and Garignaq had his Life Leech spell!

Last night, <Anonymous> gathered once again in the City of Mist for a Shaman epic kill. This time the lucky recipient was going to be Ardg!

Our monk, Wiked, started expertly pulling Black Reavers and other trash mobs from the Castle. <Anonymous> pummeled everything he pulled us until they were dead!

Finally, Lord Rak'Ashiir popped in all of his translucent glory!

Ardg calmed his nerves and did his turn in. I think Ardg thought he was supposed to turn it in like you would a suppository (if you catch my drift) because whatever he did made Lord Rak'Ashiir really mad and he started trying to kill him!

Our paladin (Banindor) snapped aggro onto himself and <Anonymous> went to town on Lord Rak'Ashiir. It didn't take long before we were all "Wooting"... Lord Rak'Ashiir was dead!

Ardg looted his scale and showed us how joyful he was with a big cheer!

<Anonymous> started dispersing as Ardg went off to turn in the Iksar Scale for his epic!

On an interesting side note... After everybody had dispersed, I went back to Lord Rak'Ashiir's corpse to try and locate the Child's Tear that Ardg turned in to Lord Rak'Ashiir. I could not locate it. Truth be told, there were some places that I refused to stick my hand in and look. I believe this confirms my earlier suspicions regarding the manner in which Ardg turned it in to Lord Rak'Ashiir. No wonder Lord Rak'Ashiir got so angry so quickly. Now I feel guilty that we killed him.

With thanks to Kragnus of IB, it looks like <Anonymous> might not be done in City of Mist quite yet. We will, however, have to ensure Aard is briefed not to use whatever method of item delivery Ardg employed.

On Saturday night, <Anonymous> decided to take down the scourge of Kithicor Forest... General V' ghera!

Tyrroin had a sealed box so <Anonymous> met in Kithicor Forest and prepared for battle!

Our expert puller, Wiked, started pulling Dark Elves to our location and <Anonymous> started killing them. One at a time (sometimes two at a time) the Dark Elves were killed until there was just one Dark Elf left. Tyrroin turned a Sealed Box into that Dark Elf and General V' Ghera spawned and boy...was he was angry!

It was a frightening run but Wiked and Tyrroin were able to get General V' ghera and his friend back to our camp. General V' ghera hits like a Mack truck and I worried that our tank would crumple under the onslaught but he was more than up to the task. Nobody sent me any screenshots from that night but I believe this image I found on the internet accurately describes the mayhem and tension of that battle...

Promptly, <Anonymous> had General V' ghera dead. The rogue epic items were looted and to our frustration, he did not have the Edge of the Nightwalker... Poop!
