you didnt answer my question. im talking about advantages going to IB because it has a developer as the guildleader. the advantage being that he knows the intricate details of all changes made patch to patch. some things which may not even be announced to the public. for example, the tentacle tormentor in Perma that mysteriously became a roamer (which it never was on live) when IB lost vox to DA (DA preps in that very room where the change was made). it has since been changed again to be non-roaming.

other instances that im unaware of have surely happened. remember when DA (i think?) was getting mob spawns due to a GM telling them the timers or having knowledge of the database? that is corruption.

these are two instances in which a group of players benefited from inside knowledge that was not available to the rest of the player population. that is corruption.

with that said i think project1999 is a great server and i think that the developers (mostly) and GMs have the best intentions. but no one is perfect all of the time.

I dont think Xzerion's integrity can really be called into question. The entire time i was there, I have never witnessed him abusing his position as a dev. In fact, it only causes him grief. He misses raid time because hes busy working on kunark for the rest of us.
I'm also going to defend DA here. I think, but am not 100% sure on, them getting spawn times had more to do with outside software then getting info from a dev/GM.

i have no personal bias toward ib or da. i think both are good guilds with (mostly) good people who like a video game more than they should.

i cited two actual events that happened that prove corruption has happened. im sure xzerion is a really cool guy (obviously, if hes willing to work on this wonderful server for free) but there are advantages to be had, however small they may be.

my point is that no emulation server will ever be 100% free of this. i think project 1999 is probably the best in this area, but there are still events that happen (or have happened) that are less than honest.

I do not think it was just DA, but rather Wi, Trans, and DA. I could be wrong as it has been awhile, but I am fairly certain it was 3 guilds all-in-all.

Unless anyone can prove that there is any sort of developer corruption, saying anything without some sort of credible resource is irrelevant.

But, I think as on live, there are as many people on here that love the drama within the game moreso than the game itself.

And think of it this way (and try to not let your emotions dignify your response) --

Do you really think developers would emulate a classic experience just to botch it for a few select players?

This would really make no sense to me; If I beleived in corruption the only logical thing instead of constant complaining, would be to not play anymore.

of course not and that isn't what i said. would someone in a position to get an advantage, no matter how small, over a rival guild for a highly-sought after target take it if they knew no one would have any idea otherwise?

the answer of course is yes

Q: Do you mean #spawnstatus that only Rogean or myself can do?

A: Zero times.
So you are saying that your account or rogean's account got compromised lately?
