this is much more likely than an actual hack. those really are exceedingly rare in every game and industry. It's simply easier to social engineer a password out of someone than it is to brute/crack it. Requires less effort/is more legal/requires little or no computer knowledge. Most "hacking" is actually a combination of soc. engineering and poor security practices. Use different passwords across different websites and accounts, and make them strong and secure. Yes its a pain in the ass. But it will keep your shit safe, and that's worth the inconvenience.
