Are we arguing that nobody loses weight at 5k a day? Or that nobody eats 5k a day?

I just realized the reason these guys eat the fries and white rice is probably to make themselves slightly more able to eat the next meal compared to if they eat brown rice.
Anyway if all this talk about bulking plans and getting jacked scares anyone reading away from weight lifting -- don't let it. No one ever accidentally got huge. You don't have to go nearly that far to a lot out of it. But its worth noting a lot of fat people have genetics to look at least kind of like the rock (he is a famously good-looking builder from a young age keep in mind, so don't be unrealistic) -- and they are wasting them. They don't even know it.

Also you need to consider the fact that the rock and pro athletes work far harder than the average homebody. Their method will be way different. I lifted weights and did cardio and lost a lot of fat and replaced it with muscle. I new have a labor intensive job so I maintain my figure there. Point is while you do need more clean calories, you will never need as much as you think.

There are natty bodybuilders and powerlifters. There are even natty vegan lifters. For bodybuilding half of it is just being low bodyfat.
Earlier someone mentioned creatine as a supplement. Higher creatine levels provides your skeletal muscles with more raw energy when muscled are taxed for strength (as opposed to endurance), leading to your tissue adapting to the higher load by building up. It also increases the amount of H2O in your muscle cells which has some positive effects. As a downside some people can look puffy-fat on it. Its legal, safe, and pretty cheap. The effects are much smaller than AAS, which of course are unsafe and illegal in many places.

Stewie on steroids
Steroids are fucked up. I think a lot of guys (esp. before 30) get curious to see how well they can do. Then they start talking to steroid users and dealers...steroid dealers make a shitload of money I might add. The strategy is paint this bleak image of how impossible the guy is without steroids -- and convince him everyone is doing them. All those strong guys you ever met? Yep, all on roids! Even though the estimate roid usage is like 30% of bodybuilders -- heavily weighted toward the professional scene. It's like any other drug. It catches up with you and you should avoid it. But I'm sure it feels good to become a super strong version of yourself while its happening. Seems like there is always a downfall though. Some kind of health crash where they go to shit.
