Agree 100%. I gave my account on P99 away to my guild leader when I left 4 or 5 years ago and I would like to get them back.

List concept is brilliant. It reminds me of when on Bristlebane, when J-Boots dropped off Drelzna in Najena, there was a list held by the current group of 10 which shifted each time and people were surprisingly civil and proper. No KSing or such was heared for as long as they dropped. There was a similar approach on other camps but the list wasn't nearly as long. J-Boots was ultimately the most popular camp, beating that of Evil-Eye bag, Manastone, Guise of the Deceiver and the like. It was an amazing experience within the game and bolstered the feel of a true community.

If by the end of November the concept turns out looking good, I can guarantee I'll drop a few hundred your way because this is not only a worthy effort with all that the team has done but on the concept of Lists alone, it deserves to be rewarded.

Thanks again Project1999 team.

The 25 mob rule was never part of Classic EQ....This is already off to a unauthentic start :P

Have you ever played an online game at launch? With a static world? Because a ruthless fight for spawns is the name of the game when everyone is congested in small areas with too many people, and not enough mobs.

Also my forum join date is not the date I joined the server. But thanks for the input.

Classic has a LOT of newbie areas though, and quests don't force everyone into the same bottlenecks like WoW. GFay will be a bit crowded sure but you can do Bard mail to level 4 and then all the camps open up, orc hill, kobold, goblins. We're gonna wanna spread out more. Qeynos Catacombs North Ro, Qeynos Hills, heck Kithicor is a newbie zone too until Bloody Kithicor happens.

Then I'm not sure what you're on about, man. I said it would be fun. But having played in several of the recent(ish) TLP servers, which had populations much closer to the expected one for Green than Blue did at launch, finding anything to kill can be a massive problem. Too many people, not enough mobs, and not enough areas for even a thousand players from 1 - 20. We could see several times more people than that.

I can't wait to play Green. But the person who was asking the original question deserves an honest answer about what the server will look like at first, given their concerns.

Does the list mechanism check to prevent listless items from being ninja'd when a list has not been created yet? Example..

Toon A is killing a named mob that does not have a list created yet (doesn't know or just didn't think anyone was nearby). While toon B idle's by waiting for the last few %. Then, Toon B "/list add mob" as the mob dies, before Toon A realizes, and toon B walks off with his new Item C.

Question is based on speculation of the mechanics. Would there be a system message or some broadcast or means to check the list, assuming so as well.
