So much dumb in this post. It's bid dkp, there's no massive flaw. If you don't like bid dkp, then that's your choice, but I'll take that over a loot council every day of the week.
There's no farming items allowed for dkp. There's a system that allows the selling of gear you upgrade from to be put back into the guild via auction. A system that rewards assisting and making the guild stronger. Literally only three people have chosen to do so. Two of whom are some of the highest RA members in the guild.
There is a bonus for being sixty, as there should be, since level 60 is the most important thing you can do in this game for both pve and pvp, and it allowed a starting pile of dkp to bid with.
Many people who were at the top of the dkp system a week ago are already at the bottom now. And that's the whole point. It's the friendliest system to newer members in a MMO and to those players who are from a time zone that things don't spawn on as often. Even though their RA may be low they can still save up for the item they want.
There is no flaw in capitalism but there are tears. Some people can't handle the notion that they need to decide what an item is worth to them, and would prefer some fat nerd decides who gets what. Personally, I don't care for fat nerds. But I do like capitalism.
I'm sure there's a couple of pixel whores upset spreading bs, as there are in every guild (heard gyno wasn't too happy about the sow sword). Some people will always be mad if they are not the ones getting every item. That's a MMO for you though.
Wouldn't it be nice to decide you'd like to save up for an AoN, not spend any of your dkp on other items, and go all in for it? Or a crown of rile? Or be allowed to main switch at a dkp penalty but then spend the rest of your hard earned dkp rather than accumulate a meaningless number? I sure think so. Sorry you disagree pal but your opinion isn't a fact, it's an opinion. I believe in empowering the individual members and I respect and have enough faith in them that they know what to do with their dkp. I wish you continued success, however, with the nihilum nanny state approach. I hear nancy pelosi has endorsed your system!
