Spies are usually a pain in the ass to find glad I was able to root one out so easily.

I had a level locked 32 or something Brigand on Nagafen. Would catch the griffons in the zone with track up, jump off the griffon when I had some one on track, glide down with my Arasai wings and gank people all day. Only got to Dreadnaught before I quit because there were hardly any people at that level range who had titles you could get infamy from.

EQ2 was the only game I'd ever played that the game didn't start at max level. Never got my brigand past 30s and had more fun on him then my max level warden.

EQ2 was fun and had two great things about it. 1 PVP board and 2 exp from PVP.

Brigand is like a tanky rogue, designed to attack from the front with stuns and shit. EQ2 has a lot of flavor in the classes, if you read that guide I posted it gives you a lot of good info on the differences between similar classes.

Honestly, I loved EQ2. The only reason I quit is because I didn't have any pals to play with anymore.

just installed a f2p eq2 and romped around a bit. im pleased at how well they've preserved the core game unlike eq1 which had its mechanics totally altered.

as far as i can see they're going to be keeping many of the changes over the years in the time-locked servers ala eq1 ragefire

if that's true, you choose your class immediately upon creation and coercers (along with some of the other previously faction-restricted classes) can play both sides.. just fyi

some of the classes are still faction-restricted: paladins/SK & conj/necro for example, and so are races.

have not confirmed if the betrayal quest to change citizenship to the opposing faction is still implemented, but assuming so at this point.

also: "No races or classes will be restricted from character create if you own them. They will all be playable at launch."

sarnak/fairy/twilight vampire beastlords & channelers (what are these even?) confirmed

i'm not a classic-o-phile myself. pretty stoked about this server
