I'm really grateful to all the people involved in p99 and the hard work they do to keep this server running but man the quakes were one of the most exciting things that happened on this server. I really hope they make a comeback soon. Just doesn't feel right without them.

It sucks when 100+ people take the staff at their word only to be let down. if they don't want to do 2 quakes a month, just say so. Or if they want to do "spawn skips" that's fine, just say so. It's a mix of disappointment and a betrayal of trust. I just feel dumb that I believed them and spent a good portion of my weekend doing absolutely nothing but waiting for something that wasn't even going to happen.

This exactly. It's basically just being lied to. Which I guess is their prerogative, but it is clearly discouraging to a lot of people who were honestly ramped up and excited for what had the appearance of being a fantastic payoff of anticipation.

Might be a good idea to take stock of your life and re-prioritize if you wasted all of your weekend going after pixels

If you heard about an event in real life, made plans to attend said event, got all your friends to make plans to go to the event, drove hours to attend the event, only to arrive and find out there is no event, and the person who created the event didn't bother to tell you, would you be annoyed? How is this any different?

I hear there's going to be 1 quake in the next few days. Then all the GM's will gather and smirk at each other while feeding each other fun size butterfingers and candy corn while laughing at people that are poopsocking away their Halloween waiting for a second quake that doesn't come.

What else are us middle-aged old fogies gonna do on a mid-week Halloween? Scary movies on Netflix with hubby and handing out candy to the kiddies is the highlight of my Halloweens these days!
