Wow, did someone offer you 100pp for a C2? Seems like a lot. 11 mana/tick for 35 mins is what 3850 mana if the person is not full mana? Druid coulda just said no. I like to give people clarity as much as i possibly can but thats just my prerogative.

Druid did say no. Druid could have said "Mr Castle, please stop asking me to port for buffs, I have told you I do this to earn money, like crafters do as an example, and my time is worth money".

Instead, Druid got frustrated by Mr Castle, who had instantly already asked another player for port, before Druid had even responded. (makes me wonder if the request was intended to upset the Druid, as Mr Castle did not even wait for the reply before asking another)

I imagine that the previous refusal to C2 the Druid would upset anyone, if Mr Castle was C2ing others and blew the Druid's request off and ignored him. All sorts of possibilities...

Not much to add to this that hasn't already been hashed out but here's the DAP rules that would apply here.

They didn't agree on a price so really whatever the porter gets they get, a few folks mentioned you just take the good with the bad and that's honestly the way to do it. S Sometimes getting a C2 is great when it's busy, sometimes you port one person in a 2 hour window so it's less useful than you'd think. Either way it's a game, sperging out seems like a weird path forward.

4 Greed will not be tolerated of any kind! You may set your own prices for ports or other services, but do not argue with a client over the fare received if the price was not agreed upon initially. You will get stiffed from time to time but just bite your tongue and move on.

7 Avoid the words "donations" or "tips" when advertising your services as we are a pay-for-port service and those words can have mixed meanings. We do however encourage members to advertise free CRs and help lowbies and new members as much as possible.

I wonder if Castle has any rules for their members?

Not once in my 10 years of playing on the server has a porter set or mentioned the price of the port beforehand. If they don't receive the payment they expect, then whose fault is that?

When I’m on my blue wizard and feel like porting I advertise ports as 30pp each (excluding planes). The funniest thing is the number of people that claim “they would have paid more” if i “wasn’t greedy” and advertised ports for free/donations [You must be logged in to view images. I fully believe that to be the case.

If I'm on one of my 50+ characters, I tip 50p minimum for a port, and have tipped 100-200p if the porter is going out of their way (like picking me up from OT and they run from skyfire to get me). I do occasionally get someone saying something like this, and I just go, "ok" and tip them the 30 or whatever.

In general, I'm generous with my tips, but people that set a price get that price and no more. That's just me though. Overall, I'd guess you're correct to be skeptical. I was in DAP for a while when I was new to the server and the amount of cheap-asses is pretty high. Can't count the number of times someone would ask me to go pick up their "twink" from field of bone and then tip me 4 plat and 30 gold or some stupid shit.
