I wish there was a good states rights platform I could get behind... but an actual states rights platform from the GOP is as much of a pipe dream as a democratic socialist platform is on the left.
I bet in 100 years ppl in america are still fighting over roevwade

Lets pretend Trump actually is:
A) able to accomplish big economic change and B) wants to help working people and not just people like him Trump is basically advocated an Import substitution industrialization (ISI) model. This worked in Latin America for getting workers wages up and developing a middle class. They closed the borders and pursued policies our government propaganda told us were "communist" or "socialist." Basically they made people buy from their own country and not import cheap goods from abroad. This was combined with some policies like universal healthcare and education for example. But then, it became impossible to get the kind of investment it needed to develop into an advanced industrial economy. They couldn't make computers and cars without American money and information. It had to open up for investment -- which basically was a disaster for all these new middle class people. Institutions like the IMF and WTO insisted they destroy all their protectionist and social welfare policies before they would deliver on the investment money they needed. However, middle class people don't accept losing their living standard lying down...they riot and create civil unrest. long story short it didn't work out all that well for them (mass poverty, currency collapse, and inequality etc). Compared to the Asian economies that used the kind of system Continental and Northern Europe does (using the government to coordinate for a global economy) , it was a disaster. I guess the big question I have is, will this kind of system that was a such a disaster in places like Brazil work a lot better in the United States? We are in a very different situation after all. I honestly hope Trump does help out our country. I'm just not so sure he wants to or can. Edit: even if ISI would help people in the long run... it seems like it would cause all kinds of havoc in the short term at very least. Our economy has grown dependent on all kinds of imports that would suddenly dry up. Trade wars are generally thought of as something very negative for a country to deal with. I guess the question is: does that matter for people that need good jobs and don't have them? Most of our sectors in America basically aren't delivering on jobs, so even if the elite suffer -- it isn't a given that the poor or middle class that don't relay on investment income would.

Also you don't drag him around, kidnap and transport him, you either put him in custody or you don't. Arrest, or you don't. He was in the process of unlawful detention of a minor which is a civil rights violation. He abused his clothing and person, attempted nut strikes and generally roughing him up without making a citizens arrest. Why? We don't know. Is it because he knows he was breaking the law and didn't have enough to make a citizens arrest? Probably.

CNN has made personal attacks on Trump with overtones of hatred.
Fox never made personal attacks on 0bama's character. 0bama also took Fox to war during his presidency for criticizing him. Whats the double standard? Revoke CNN's press passes and be done with it. It should have been done after the first fuckup when that guy kept interrupting Trump and shouting at him. Jake Tapper told the president of the US to "Grow up". Thats grounds to remove CNN's press pass.

Its pretty clear from where anyone stands (besides directly under the CNN umbrella) that CNN is atempting to take down the president, not inform people. So it doesnt bother me that they and the other news oulets with clear and present agendas against the success of the president shouldnt be allowed in the press room.
It's pretty stupid to try to spin it as anti free speech or something. We dont invite abortion protesters into white house press briefings... CNN 'journalists' are basically glorified protesters.
