Trump Administration Discussed Coup Plans With Rebel Venezuelan Officers

The Trump administration held secret meetings with rebellious military officers from Venezuela over the last year to discuss their plans to overthrow President Nicolás Maduro, according to American officials and a former Venezuelan military commander who participated in the talks.

So we know:

1) The lives of the majority of Venezuelans improved under Chevez, and they support Maduro.

2) Venezuelan Corporations hate socialism (understandable) and have been systematically smuggling goods out of the country for higher prices (also understandable to a lesser degree). They have gone as far as to horde food to create artificial scarcity (not at all understandable and fucked up).

3) The families that own these Venezuelan corporations have been trying to get the U.S. to support a coup that empowers them and promptly reverses the working class gains.

4) As recently as Trump, U.S. Presidents have considered taking the bait....my guess is they have decided not to because its not going to be all that profitable for our financial interests. That and less of them truly believe any of this anti-socialist crap compared to the old days.

I linked a video awhile back made by academic leftists explaining that the propaganda on Venezuela was misleading. That video has been taken down...

I don't agree with meddling in other countries affairs.

If the citizens voted in and support a dictator, let em lay in the beds that they've made.

They wanted this.

And before someone says that's ironic because I voted for Trump, I'm prepared for any and all fallout. I don't want to live anyway.
