You write coherent posts and aren't on suspension half the time so that kind of pushes you into the job you do. Some of the others who might do it are either on frequent forum vacations or are too angry (sometimes justified, sometimes not) to write clearly. You usually have a scientific enough demeanor that you're able to calmly engage with people who are on opposite sides of the issue as you provided they extend you the same courtesy. Or to use the cliche, "It's a dirty job but someone's got to do it."
