I'm tired of the means to destroy all life being in the hands of complete fucking assholes. Every country has the government it deserves, and the Russian people are culpable for the actions of Putin, just like the American people were culpable for the actions of Bush, Obama, and Trump.
We are on a path to global destruction. The Russian nuclear warfare doctrine commits nuclear first strike privileges against "any threat to the existence of the Russian state", including conventional war with NATO. Eventually, whether in 100, 1,000, or even 10,000 years, the Russian state will fall, and it is simply a matter of chance whether the conditions will be conducive to nuclear exchange. As long as these weapons are around, IT WILL EVENTUALLY HAPPEN. As long as these weapons exist, it is only a matter of time until nuclear annihilation. We knew this for most of the last century, and I think all the boomers became so jaded living under that threat that they just shoved it to the back of their minds. It's just hopeless. It is probably better that humanity does not exist. We treat other creatures with extreme cruelty, wantonly and wastefully destroying their habitats. The industrialized meat industry causes other conscious creatures, relatively close cousins to ourselves, untold, unimaginable pain and suffering. I think the Earth, and all life, will be better off, eventually, without us here. Some of the archaea at the bottom of the Mariana trench, or under the Antarctic ice sheets will survive and reseed Earth's life in a few billion years. That being said, I'd very much like to finish living my life before it happens. Fuck Russia and their threats, their warmongering, their degenerate worthlessness. They have so little of value to add to the global exchange of thoughts and ideas, yet have done so much damage. | ||

1 person having thousands of nukes on demand at the press of a button is rly dumb. No one person should ever hold power over so many others. Not even on a scale of 10:1. It's wrong and why the world is held hostage.
We can fix this. Especially if every government decides to disarm and enforce that disarmament on eachother so that governments collectively only have the means to stop any one government from building thousands of nukes again. Don't worry though. Ivan's on the job again. | ||
