No, I did not see it, sounds heartbreaking. I used to watch videos of people doing surgery on themselves in their garage since they couldn’t afford the doctor.

He's expressed interest and is doing well with the safety stuff, so I'm cautiously optimistic!

Race day! Work 5k. I gotta do more races sometime, I love the atmosphere
Got first for my age group, second overall. Some under 17yr old high school girl who was very small beat me by about 20-30s. She seemed like a track girl. Some super fit dude was on my ass the entire way, passed me at the last 70y so I gunned it ahead of him at the 40y and finished like 5 seconds ahead like “nah bro, not today”. We fistbumped after Happy with my time, much better than my practice time. And it was dreadful hot. Leg didn’t hurt bad surprisingly, took a Vicodin I had leftover from surgery though, that helped If you ain’t first, yer last!

Found out today we can do the entire post-transplant period not only as outpatients, barring complications like fever or infection. Rather than shelling out for an apartment for three to six months, since health insurance won't cover that cost, we have been authorized to stay at our house.
Which she loves. She'd much rather heal at home, with me and the idiot cats. Yeah, it's more driving, about an hour each way daily for at least the first two months or so. If it goes well we drop down to like two or three times per week. But if it makes her transition easier I have no issues driving.
