I guess I’m out of the loop with these, only saw the first movie (pretty good for a video game to movie conversion, that and Silent Hill were sleeper hits to me)

I coulda swore the main char of the original had a diff name. Maybe they had to kill her off or something though

And who sits like that? No one. That looks uncomfortable as F, my knees hurt just looking at that

the cut scenes in the first game on the playstation are a better movie than some of those RE movies

I never played the game but I liked the first movie. Maybe it was just because I never really knew the plot of the games, so to see a computer just massacring all these innocent scientists was wild

The movie did a good job of building suspense from there, not showing the zombies for quite a while and doing so in a way that made the slow, ambling zombies still feel menacing. Keep in mind this was where fast zombies was not really much of a thing. And the lickers upon later reflection were very CGI but back then I thought they were pretty cool and menacing

I could even accept the main char turning into a combat girl boss and wrecking zombies with no fear mid movie because the whole being bioengineered/programmed to do that made sense in the setup

I really can’t think of a part of the first one I disliked, I guess maybe there was some slow spots after the beginning

Edit: I heard the later ones sucked tho, didn’t see them. And I still on a whole liked Silent Hill movie more

Speaking of cube, lol, on second thought the laser scene in the first was pretty silly. Like why would any high tech security system run the poor intruders through some laser obstacle course like they were on American Ninja Warrior rather than just using the crisscrossing one that turns people into meat cubes right off the bat lol

But it did look cool

"oh you figured out how to duck under the lasers? Well what about GRID LASERS, because we thought of that!"

Lmao

Man I bet someone could really make a fantastic authentic resident evil 1 movie.

(WITH AI lmao)

kinda crazy how AI can make a picture of someone that looks like a photo, just based off it recreating the person from other photos.

Like that is really nuts. How does it quality assure that i wonder.
