I love the conspiracy theories on this server. Obv pure objectivity is impossible so there is probably some degree of bias and/or favoritism. I think they do a better job than I would though. I think I'd just award the spawn to the person who whined the least in any dispute.

I've had a "GM/guide/dev" do a #spawnstatus in the last 2 months. Unless you changed that lately im going to go with either:

E) I looked at the logs. Doing a most recent search yields no results. The server crashed at some point and the logs were backed up and stored. Those logs are in a different table, which I did not query. Usually I wouldn't even respond again, but since I was wrong in my 2 month assessment, I'll try and explain to you.

I didn't care enough about your question to a full log search of multiple tables, so my bad about that. I do know there is not a rogue GM running around doing commands, which is the entire reason I looked to begin with. That command hasn't been run in almost 3 weeks though, so it is completely irrelevant to whatever this thread is about.

I do show a character from your account attempting to run the command. Aside from that, everything looks legit.

You apparently take pixels a lot more seriously than I do. I honestly hope you do not think I care about who gets what loot. It would be perfect day for me if I didn't have to hear about loot in a game I do not play. I like developing the server, but do not get that confused with me being all up in your drama. I think its ridiculous.

Not sure what you mean, but the command can only be run by Rogean or myself at the moment. It hasn't always been that way, but better security has been put into place since the beginning. Last year for a week, the spawn timers were compromised, not by a GM, but by someone who accessed their account. This is not some type of ongoing problem.

D) You've been giving cookies to the dude thats lending the server, which is fine as long as you let everyone know! (eg: Suspending the "other" raid guild for a week when they're poopsocking a camp that the "puppet" guild wants.)

To all the people with the conspiracy theories and favoritism etc: I can listen to so much of it, then I'll just close it, or delete it. The developers do work for free, and are human beings. Fuck with us enough and we'll retaliate.

Sometimes the threads are entertaining, but most of the time it's someone that has little to no facts about anything that does nothing but waste my time.

let me preface this by saying i think project1999 is great and that i appreciate all the effort you and others have put into the server.

i understand that you and rogean have nothing to gain from server disputes and they're meaningless to both of you. i understand that 100%.

however, would you say that corruption or an unfair advantage as a a guide gm or dev has never happened on this server in the past? and what about right now?

In the past, due to a security issue, commands were run from a GM account which was no longer used. This is what people mention when they say whatever guild had whatever spawn time information.

In 2007, I believe it was, the eqemulator website had an sql injection hack, so if someone was still using an old password, they were compromised. I believe that counts as a limited time unfair advantage, but not due to the csr, development or management team. The logs were gone through, and every single bit of what they did, aside from the spawn time issues, rectified.

We have a very comprehensive logging system, and monitor all commands run. Anyone with any bit of power is scrutinized more than any player account. Guides, GMs, and Developers all have to follow a strict policy of what they can and cannot do.

Do I believe there is some type of unfair advantage right now? No, and we work hard to keep it that way.
