A big part of professionalism is keeping distant relationships and not discussing personal lives at work. Is it so wrong if we tought a 6th grader professionalism?

I had a gym teacher who was super friendly with the kids, wanting to be their friends and talk about personal stuff with them. I remember showing my mom how he gave some of us friendship bracelets. She said to stop talking to him
